GlobalLink WEB, a division of TransPerfect—the world's leading provider of translation technology and services—offers a cutting-edge web localization platform. It streamlines the creation, launch, and optimization of multilingual websites. By leveraging both human expertise and AI-driven translations, GlobalLink GO/WEB accelerates content localization processes while delivering valuable insights into web performance.
The existing GlobalLink WEB dashboard is outdated and difficult to navigate. Responding to user feedback, our team is dedicated to enhancing usability and ensuring continued customer satisfaction. TransPerfect aims to serve diverse markets, and a redesigned dashboard with an improved user experience is seen as crucial to achieving this goal.

Drawing inspiration from companies similar to TransPerfect provides valuable insights for creating designs that align with their needs. TransPerfect aims to support businesses of all sizes. To identify effective strategies and potential pitfalls, I conducted an analysis of three comparable companies, evaluating their successes and challenges.
Best for ease of use, quick integration, and real-time automatic translations. Ideal for businesses needing a straightforward solution with strong multilingual SEO support.
Dashboard is simple to use but lacks responsiveness when going from desktop to mobile.
Weglot excels in ease of use and quick integration, suitable for smaller businesses or those needing straightforward web localization.
Excellent for managing complex translation workflows and dynamic content with strong collaboration tools. Best for teams needing detailed control and analytics.
Seems a little more complex to set up and manage compared to simpler tools requiring a steeper learning curve.
Localize offers robust tools for managing web localization workflows, ideal for teams requiring detailed control and collaboration.
Offers advanced features for translation management and is highly customizable, with strong support for development integrations. Suitable for developers and larger projects.
Primarily geared toward developers which wouldn't be ideal for technical users.
Lokalise provides advanced translation management with a focus on developer integrations, suitable for technical users and larger projects.
Weekly brainstorming sessions were instrumental in our journey to craft a compelling dashboard design for TransPerfect. These collaborative meetings facilitated in-depth discussions on effective strategies, helping us identify and address pain points while focusing on the product’s requirements and objectives. The insights gleaned from these sessions informed the development of a robust and impactful design solution.
User personas are a cornerstone of effective UX design. They help create products that not only meet the technical requirements but also deliver a meaningful and satisfying experience for real users. For TransPerfect’s dashboard, these personas provide a focused understanding of the different users, ensuring that the design aligns with their specific needs and enhances the overall usability and success of the product.
These research findings are essential because they provide a detailed understanding of user needs and preferences, guiding the development of a user-friendly, efficient, and competitive dashboard. They ensure that the product not only meets but exceeds user expectations, supports TransPerfect's business goals, and drives continuous improvement in the user experience.
With our expanded user research, we collaborated to develop a comprehensive site map, task flows, and user flows, illustrating how individuals interact with the product. Below is an example of a task flow I designed for this project (update phone number on dashboard). Task flows are a critical component of the UX design process, providing a detailed, visual representation of user interactions within the system to accomplish specific tasks.
This UI Kit provides a cohesive set of design elements and guidelines to ensure a consistent, user-friendly interface for TransPerfect GlobalLinkWEB. It covers essential components such as color palette, typography, iconography, buttons, forms, cards, navigation, data visualization, alerts, and modals. By adhering to this UI Kit, you can create an engaging and intuitive user experience that aligns with TransPerfect's branding and functional needs.
With the development of user stories, I was able to design a product that aligns with user experiences and incorporates their constructive feedback. The current GlobalLink WEB dashboard required a more user-friendly layout and additional features tailored to the clients' needs and preferences.
Before integrating elements like color, typography, and images, we tested and iterated on these low-fidelity wireframes based on feedback from internal clients. This approach enabled us to make swift adjustments as needed and conduct further testing on the user flows and task flows.
Now that we have solid wireframes for this product, I'm prepared to integrate the UI Kit I developed into my designs. Throughout this process, I've applied insights gained on creating standout and successful products.
Since launching the new dashboard design, we've received overwhelmingly positive feedback on its improved design, flow, and enhanced features. Guided by recommendations from both internal and external stakeholders, we've continuously refined the user experience to better meet client needs and expectations. Through thorough user research, collaborative team efforts, brainstorming sessions, rigorous testing, and iterative improvements, we've successfully delivered a highly impactful product. The new design is not only meeting but exceeding expectations, demonstrating its effectiveness in meeting user needs. Today, we are currently implementing weekly improvements to enhance the desirability and success of our product for our clients.
